MILEAGE WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED AND WILL BE ADJUSTED ON A PRO-RATA BASIS USING CUR- RENT PRICES, There tsn't anything better Adolescent Prevention Program than celebrating Christmas and into their schools to help provide the coming of the New Year. It is a special time when we reflect on the events of the past year and make resolutions for the coming year. In that tradition. I'd like to take a few minutes and com- mend those people who in the past year have given their time and efforts in the hope that the young people of Greenbrier County can try to live happier and fuller lives. Unlike Santa Claus, I can't give out presents. However, I can wish these people a special Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as thanks for a job well done. Even though space and a faulty memory pre- vent me from mentioning every- one who has been a positive m- fluence on the youth of this area, l strongly feel these people need to receive special mention during the holiday season for a job well done in helping to keep our chil- dren straight. At the top of my list for a spe- cial Season's Greetings are the people at the Mountain Messen- ger. They did not have to give space in their newspaper for my column but they did. They al- lowed the people of this county to be exposed to and to learn about many of the problems that face the youth of this area. Thanks. The next Season's Greetings go to those parents in the area who try to provide their children with the proper environment to grow tip in. These parents take the time to pat their children on the head when they do good work with their children when they do wrong. These parents are always looking to maintain the human dignity of their chil- dren. They also aren't afraid to try new things with their chil- dren in order to get the results they want. Anyone can be a par- ent. It takes a special person to be a good parent. Merry Christ- mas and Happy New Year. A special l lo,'Ho, He, goes to the principles and guidance de- partments of Greenbrier East High School, Alderson Junior High, Greenbrier Junior High, Lewisburg Junior High, and White Sulphur Junior High for allowing members of the Rural weekly Self-Awareness Groups for their students and other services which were needed. As manpower increases, I hope other schools In the county will be able to take advantage of the Rural Adolescent Prevention Pro- gram. Also. Merry Christmas to the Board of Education. A special Merry Christmas goes to the young people of Greenbrier County for being the best group of young people of Greenbrier County for being the best group of young people I've ever had the pleasure to be around and to work with. Re- cently, I left Seneca Mental Health due to economic and philosophical differences which could not be worked out. The hardest thing about leaving Se- neca was leaving behind clients and other young people I had worked with who have become my friends. Merry Christmas and keep in touch. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Ms Umberger, Mr Cook, Ms Bostic, Ms Wolfe, Ms Myers, Ms White, and Ms Black- burn at Lewisburg Junior, Alder- son Junior, White Sulphur Jun- ior, and Greenbrier East for helping me reach as many stu- dents at those schools as pos- sible. You certainly made my job a lot easier and your eflorts made life a lot easier for'a num- ber of students at your schools. I would finally like to wish a special Happy Holiday's to all the people and various busi- nesses who helped me with the End of Sumlner, Back to School Party which was given in Au- gust. While the party wasn't the success we had hoped, it pro- vided the youth of this area a drug and alcohol-free activity which can be expanded upon in the coming year. I would also like to wish a special Merry Christmas to all the concerned people in this area who did not hesitate to contact me when they knew of a young person who was in need of help. I hope I haven't forgotten any- one. If I have, it wasn't inten- tional. To everyone, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
