activities in recognition of Veter-
ans Day November 10. The La-
dies Auxiliary gave out over 300
yellow and red/white/blue rib-
boils for support for Operation
Desert Shield, A Buddy Poppy
Sale. for support for disabled
Veterans and their families was
held.

Hear About British Travels
Andrea Gainer was guest
speaker for the Willimnsburg Ex-
tension Homemakers this month
when they met at the New Fel-
lowship Hall at Andrew Chapel
Methodist Church in- Wil-
liamsburg.
The program opened with a
devotional led by Barbra Chaney
describing people as "God's Salt
of the Earth."
Mrs Gainer gave a description
of her visit to England, describ-
ing the customs and country-
side. She said the lady they vis-
ited told her "We speak English,
Mrs Gainer speaks American."
During the business session it
was decided to have a workshop
at Mrs Chaney's to make things
for the Christmas Bazaar at the
schoolhouse November 17.
The Christmas party with the
Ruritmls and their families the
second Friday night in December
was announced and Mrs Gainer
announced the Rowan Home
Birthday Party, anti the work-
shop at Rupert November 29.
Refreshments were served.
Guests were Mrs Gainer, Mr and
Mrs Joe Crane and Mrs Ellen
