The Aid was made available by the Disaster Assistance Act of 1988 which was signed August 11 by President Reagan. Livestock and crop procedures are reminded to organize their pro- duction data and evidence in ad- vance to speed payment for quali- fied drought-related damage. The Lewisburg Elementary School is sponsoring a student Book Fair from October 10 through Octo- ber 14. All students will be given the opportunity to look at and purchase their books during school hours. For parents and visitors the Book Fair will also be open Monday evening October 10, from 6:30-8:30. Books will be on display in the school li- brary. The Book Fair committee invites all students, parents, and visitors to attend the Fair. It is intended to en- courage reading, and gives the stu- dent a chance to build his own book collection. All profits are used to pur- chase new books and materials for the Lewisburg Elementary School. The Library Volunteers are spon- soring this event, with Mrs. Myron Goodell as coordinator. The commit- tee includes all the volunteer library staff. The Book Fair display includes new books from many major pub- lishers in prices ranging from $1 to $10. All reading interests are repre- sented, you will be sure to find the perfect book for yourself or to give as a gift. Various reading levels are included, beginning with books suit- able for preschoolers.
