i!i~ :i~ i/!i~i 6A II The Mountain Messenger, Tuesday, August 25, 1987 Ruth Agnes Allen BECKLEY Ruth Agnes Allen, infant daughter of Darrell and Debra Allen of Beckley, died following birth, of undetermined causes Wednesday, August 121987 in a Beckley hospital. Survivors include: maternal grandparents, Mr.and Mrs. Harold C. Ryder of Lewisburg; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Allen of Beckley, and maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Stewart W. (Verlie) Ryder of Durbin. Graveside services were held at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Garden of Angels at Prosperity, with the Rev. Rejuean Ayers officiating. The Melton Mortuary in Beckley was in charge ofthe arrangements. daughter of Pal and Margie C. (Phipps) Lowe. She was married to Robert (Pete) Dotson on Feb. 23, 1957 in Clifton Forge, Va. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include: Her husband, Robert, Mother, Mrs. Margie Counts of Alderson, ; three sons, James R., of Temperance, Terry W., and Marshall S., both at home; a daughter, Mrs. Tracy (Deborah A.) Ross of Toledo, and two sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Virginia) Falls of Sinks Grove, and Mrs. Donald (Juanita) Counts of Meadow Bridge. Also, Thomas Dotson, Randy Dotson, Henry Coughlin, James~Barron, John Parrish Sr. and Dean Ahrens. Services were held at the Bedford Chapel, Temperance, with the Rev. Mark Smith officiated. Burial was in the Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, Ohio. Emma F. Flack CLEVELAND -- Mrs. Emma Flack 91, died at Richmond Heights General Hospital after a brief illness. Born July 18, 1896, in Alderson, she was a lifelong resident of Greenbrier County. She was preceded by her husband John; son, Carl Lewis; and si~ter, Flora Tuckwiller. Survivors include: her daughter, Mildred Trouten, Richmond Heights; brother, Wallace Knapp, Alderson; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Services were held at Orlando- Donsante Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Gaug officiating. Burial was at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights. Bonnie Y. Dotson Ramona Jacqueline Lytle LAMBERTVlLLE Mrs. Bonnie Yvonne Dotson,50, died in her home following a lengthy illness. Born Feb. 8, 1937, in Marfrance, West Virginia, she was the GRASSY MEADOWS -- Mrs. Ramona Jacqueline Lytle, 57, of Grassy Meadows died Aug. 16, 1987 in University Hospital, Charlottesville, Va. after a short- illness. Survivors include: her husband, John Lytle; sons, Harold A. of Lary, Scotland, David R., Stephen B. and Walter P., all of Grassy Meadows; sisters, Naomi Clary of Frederick- sburg, Va., and Diana Alford, of Grassy Meadows; brother, Russell H. Forren Jr. of Grassy Meadows, and seven grandchi!dren. Services were held at the Smather's Funeral Home, Rainelle with the Rev. Roy Gwinn officiating. Burial in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Survivors include: his wife, Louise; sons, Jason and Derek, both of Lewisburg, and Daren of York, Pa.; father, Cecil of Barboursville; brothers, Henry, of Lewisburg, Lee Stidom of Fort Spring; sisters, Theda Sizemore, and Stella Sizemore, both of Trout, Elizabeth Tincher and Phyllis Nickless, both of Fort Spring. Services were held at Jack K. Wallace Funeral Home, Lewisburg with the Rev. Jack K. Wallace officiating. Burial took place in Pembrooke Cemetery, near Trout. He was a woodsman and a Methodist. Survivors include: wife, Margie Simmons; daughters, Helen Barbaro of Olean, N.Y., Edna Brophy of Marlinton and Sondra Sprouse of Dunmore; brother, Earl Simmons of Marlinton; sisters, Edith Rigsby of Virginia, Mary Wright of New York; 12 grandchildren and 21 great- grandchildren. Services were held at Cummings Creek Victory Chapel, near Marlington with the Rev. Norman Lee Alderman officiating. Burial was at Beaver Creek Cemetery. Loynel Newton Williams FRIARS 1,1f1_L -- Lo~ Williams, 79;died AU following ~i long illness HospLtal in Fairlea. Born Dec. 12, was the son of the late Gaynel Johnson Williams was a retired carpenter. Survivors include: his Williams; two dau Collins of Mineral Wells Withrow of Parkersburg; Loynel D. Williams of Md. and Dannie Wil Huntington; two sister, and Pauline Arbaugh, Cornstalk; 11 11 great-grandchildren. Services were held Wallace Funeral H( William "Gdg" Mattison CARl - William "Grig" Mattison, 71, of Carl died August 18, 1987 at Low Moor hospital in Virginia of a long illness. Born November 27, 1915, at Potter County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the alte Milton and Ada Pitsenbarger Mattison. He was a World War II veteran and a retired coal Iminer. He was a member of the Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Audrice White Mattison; two sons, Bill at home and Norris of Carl; one sister, Eloise Humphries of Oak Hill; two brothers, Denver of Coca, Florida and Clayton of Ravenswood and one grandchild. Services were held Friday at 2:00 p.m.at the Mt. Baptist Church at Carl with the Rev. Donald Field and Willie Bailes officiating Burial was in the Church cemetery at Carl. Wallace and Wallace, Rainelle was in charge of the arrangements. Clyde Wade Scott LEWlSBURG -- Clyde Wade Scott, 41, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday from injuries received in an auto accident. John W. Burial took place in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville Arlie Eldridge Simmons MARLINTON -- Arlie Eldridge Simmons, 81, of Marlinton died August 17, 1987 at home after an apparent heart attack. Van Reenen Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Betty Mae Spence Lewisburg with the Crane officiating. Burial McMillion Church Uniform Dr LEWlSBURG -- Mrs. Betty Mae Spence, 62, died in the Humana Hospital in Fairlea following a short illness. Daughter of Wilson Fry of South Point of Ohio and the late Mary Dasham Fry, she was born Jan 29, 1925 in Eskdale. She was a member of the Rupert Church of God. Survivors include: Her husband, Robert Spence; a daughter, Emma Lea Loudermilk of Lewisburg; five grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Reverands David Deskins and Don Byard presided over he services held in--the Wallace K. Funeral Home in Lewisburg.The internment was in the Rosewood Cemetery, also in Lewisburg.
