Pump House (follow the signs), for
the third annual Anything That
Floats and Is Not A Boat Race dur-
ing the Ronceverte River Festival.
Entry fees for business or organi-
zations is $25 per float; maximum
four people per float. Trophies will
be awarded to first, second and third
place winners.
A $5 per person entry fee applies
for individual entries with a maxi-
mum of four people per float. Prizes
to be awarded include: First, $25;
Second, $15; Third, $10.
A special trophy will be awarded
for the "least likely to float." Life jack-
ets are required for all participants.

Cruisers from Richmond, Virginia will be the featured band at the 50s/60s Beach Party
June 9, 8 p.m. The rockin' will take place at the Bank Plaza and roll on until midnight.
River Festival

A three-on-three basketball tour-
nament has been scheduled for Sat-
urday, June 9 at the Island Park
basketball courts beginning at 1
p.m. during the third annual Roncev-
erte River Festival. It will once again
feature former point guard great of
Greenbrier East and Virginia Tech,
"Bimbo" Coles.
The tourney is limited to 12
teams with an entry fee of $15.
Cash prizes will be awarded.

stage here on the river during last
year's River Festival, and several
people suggested it would be nice to
have a permanent one, with seat-
ing," Mr Hodges said. A group of citi-
zens have worked since early April
excavating the area and placing the
concrete ties in place.
"This is going to be one of the
biggest attractions for the Island
Park complex and the City of Ron-
ceverte in the future," Mr Hodges
said. "We hope to be able to bring
entertainment in throughout the
summer season. We want the am-
phitheater to be used for a lot of dif-
ferent occasions and purposes."
