Ben Carson, eighth grade Lewis- burg Junior High Student of the Month is the son of Allen and Paula Carson of Lewisburg. He partici- pates in football, basketball, and is a member of the Outdoors Club. Ben is on the B Honor Roll, and was se- lected as Student of the Month in his seventh grade year. Outside of school, Ben enjoys his youth group, 4-H, and attends church regularly. He also enjoys as hobbies football, basketball, skiing, baseball and ten- nis. Donna Thomas, eighth grade Lewisburg Junior Student of the Month, is the daughter of Thomas and Sharon Thomas of Lewisburg She is a member of the Senator Marching Band, a Junior Varsity Cheerleader, and participates in the school play, "Finders Creepers." Donna is a member of the Student Council, and is an Honor Roll Stu- dent. Outside of school, Donna en- joys her church youth group, playing the piano and violin and reading. Amy Runyon was selected as freshman Student of the Month Amy is the daughter of Don and Shirley Runyon. Her school activities include Flag Corps for the Senator Marching Band, Jazz Band, the Peer Tutor Program, the Varsity Vol- leyball Team, and the Yearbook Staff. She is homeroom representa- tive for Student Council. Her school honors include membership in the "Senator Elite," National Junior Honor Society, the 4.0 Honor Roll. Amy is a Golden Horseshoe Winner. Outside school, Amy enjoys Girl Scouts and Presbyterian Youth Fel- lowship, and her hobbies include reading, music and art Earnest Gary was chosen fresh- man Student of the month. Earnest is the son of Shirley Gary of Lewis- burg. He is a member of the Senator Basketball Team, and the Sports Club. He is a member of the First Baptist Church in White Sulphur Springs.
